Individual counseling is available and group therapy addressing eating disorders may also be available. Peer presentations on eating disorders are available to the university community by P.O.W.E.R. (Peers Offering Wellness Education Resources), an organization affiliated with Counseling Services. The Counseling Center website also offers information about eating disorders, including self-assessment and suggestions for concerned others.

Patients with nutritional concerns may be referred to a Registered Dietitian at Marquette General Hospital.

Description: The Student Counseling Center serves as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse referral resource for students. Counseling Center staff provide assessments, crisis intervention, community referrals and psychoeducational classes.

Description: CAPS provides short-term individual, couples, and group counseling for currently enrolled students at no charge. Students are eligible to receive up to 16 sessions of personal counseling each academic year. Group counseling does not count against this session limit. If longer term treatment is deemed necessary, referrals to the community are provided.
CAPS operates open intake hours for new clients seeking counseling. The hours are Wednesday 1pm-6pm and Thursday 8:30 am-12:00 pm. During the intake periods, a counselor is available for all walk-in clients for a 20-minute assessment.
CAPS also provides consultation and outreach services to the university community.

Services available at Sindecuse Health Center include medical evaluation and treatment, psychiatric consultation, and nutritional assessment and counseling. A five-week Overcoming Overeating workshop is also offered that focuses upon a non-diet approach to weight management.
